Biography
Patrick L. Ridley's practice focuses on criminal defense and civil litigation. Mr. Ridley has developed a reputation for tenacious, sophisticated courtroom advocacy across the full range of complex federal and state matters.
He has tried more than 100 jury trials involving federal white-collar offenses — securities fraud, tax fraud, computer fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud — as well as Ponzi scheme prosecutions, capital and non-capital murder, catastrophic personal injury, sexual assault, and congressional redistricting litigation. He has represented numerous elected and appointed public officials in connection with allegations of public corruption.
Mr. Ridley has served as President of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar Association and as Chair of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, where he is the chair of the Colorado Chapter.
Mr. Ridley holds a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Denver University Law Review, and a B.A. from DePauw University.
